The Alabama Crimson Tide added a key specialist to their 2020 class on Saturday night and they didn’t have to go far to do it.

Punter Sam Johnson, a native of Birmingham, announced via Twitter that he was committing to the Alabama program.

As you can see below, Johnson shared a note and a few pictures on Twitter while breaking news of his commitment:

Per KohlsKicking.com, Johnson is the No. 2 punter in the 2020 recruiting class. Whether he’ll be a preferred walk-on or a scholarship player is unknown at this time.

The Crimson Tide have 26 players in their 2020 class at the moment. That class ranks No. 2 in the nation and No. 2 in the SEC, per 247Sports.
