Alabama beats out Clemson, lands commitment from elite ILB Shane Lee out of Baltimore

The Alabama Crimson Tide are building some momentum on the recruiting trails this week, and on Tuesday, they landed another talented defender for their 2019 class.
This time, the player in question was the top prospect from the state of Maryland — 4-star ILB Shane Lee.
As you can see below, Lee announced his decision via Twitter on Tuesday night:

Lee was also drawing interest from teams like Clemson, Penn State, Florida State, LSU and Maryland, but chose the Crimson Tide over all of them.
According to the 247Sports composite, Lee is the No. 3 inside linebacker and the No. 1 overall recruit from the state of Maryland.
The Tide now have eight players in their 2019 class. Prior to Lee’s commitment, the Alabama class was ranked No. 3 in the SEC and No. 6 nationally by 247Sports.
