One of the top players in the State of Tennessee is heading to Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
The Crimson Tide landed a commitment from 4-star linebacker Kenneth Simon II, who hails from Brentwood Academy just south of Nashville. Alabama beat several strong programs for his services, including Georgia, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Michigan and Notre Dame.
Simon stands at 6-foot-2 and 210 pounds with his best traits being strong athleticism and downhill tracking ability, having started his high school career as a safety.
Simon is the 6th commitment of the Class of 2027 for Alabama, now considered Alabama’s 2nd highest-rated commit behind 5-star QB Elijah Haven. He’s also the 2nd defensive commitment for the Crimson Tide, joining 3-star defensive lineman Avrian Pauley.
As it currently stands, Alabama possesses the 35th-ranked recruiting class per 247Sports. The class ranks No. 12 in the SEC, so there’s plenty of work to be done for Kalen DeBoer and Co.
According to 247Sports’ composite rankings, Simon is considered to bet the No. 133 overall prospect in the Class of 2027, as well as the No. 7 overall linebacker and No. 6 player out of the Volunteer State.
