Alabama DB Dre Kirkpatrick Jr. suspended for Texas A&M game
Alabama defensive back Dre Kirkpatrick will miss Saturday’s game against Texas A&M.
He was listed as out in Alabama‘s availability report on Saturday morning. As it turns out, his status is due to a suspension for a violation of team rules rather than for an injury.
An Alabama spokesman confirmed that news to AL.com’s Nick Kelly on Saturday:

This is not the first time Kirkpatrick has been suspended midseason. He was suspended indefinitely by Kalen DeBoer in early November of 2025 and did not appear in another game that season.
It’s unclear at this time whether or not Kirkpatrick will be able to continue with the Tide beyond this week, though DeBoer will presumably provide an update in the coming days.
Kirkpatrick has primarily been a reserve for the Crimson Tide this season. He’s recorded 5 total tackles, 1 pass deflection and 1 forced fumble.
Alabama and Texas A&M will kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday afternoon.
