DJ Dale left the Alabama game late in the first quarter after he reportedly suffered an injury in pregame warmups, CBS Sports reported.

The broadcast caught Dale being helped to the locker room by 2 people, and sideline reporter Jamie Erdahl reported that it appeared to be a lower body injury. She later reported that he was out for the game. Dale is a key cog on the Alabama defensive line, which will be thin for the rest of the game as the report came with the Crimson Tide up 3-0 in the first quarter.

The junior from Birmingham has recorded 11 tackles, including 2.5 for loss (-9 yards), and added one sack (-4 yards) and a quarterback pressure this season. He was selected to the Nagurski Trophy Watch List to start his junior campaign.
