Alabama football players hear from Alex Rodriguez as fall camp opens

The Alabama football program in recent years has heard from well-known figures in the sports world. The latest came on Friday from baseball great Alex Rodriguez.
Rodriguez is a 14-time Major League Baseball All-Star and three-time American League Most Valuable Player. He played for the Seattle Mariners, Texas Rangers and New York Yankees from 1994-2006, and was on the New York team that won the World Series in 2009. Rodriguez currently works as a television analyst for FOX Sports.
Rodriguez followed other notable celebrities to speak to Alabama in recent years, including Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley, Tony Dungy, Condoleezza Rice, Stephen A. Smith and Inky Johnson.
It’s likely that Rodriquez will show up on the latest season of “Bama Cuts,” a conversational program where an outside celebrity talks with leader of the Alabama football program.
Alabama used many of the same COVID-19 protocols the team had in place last season.
โWeโre still going to be very cautious indoors and in meetings and so forth on trying not to have an issue with the COVID,โ Saban said Thursday ahead of the defending national championsโ first preseason practice. โWeโre hopeful that weโll be able to have full capacity in the stadium. Iโm hopeful that more and more people will get vaccinated so theyโll have the opportunity to do that. But thatโs everybodyโs personal choice.โ
Great insight from @AROD
