Alabama fortified its offensive line in its 2026 recruiting class on Thursday night by getting a commitment from interior lineman Chris Booker.
The 6-foot-4, 284-pounder took to his social media account to announce he was heading to Tuscaloosa in 2026. He tweeted “1000% committed, Recruitment shut down!”
Booker was a bit of a steal for the Crimson Tide in the sense that he’s an Atlanta product out of Hapeville Charter School. Booker also had offers from SEC foes Kentucky and Mississippi State.
Booker is the Crimson Tide’s second commit in the class of 2026 and the first offensive lineman to choose Alabama. He joins cornerback Zyan Gibson, a product of Gadsden, Ala., in the 2026 recruiting class.
“It is surreal,” Booker told Bama247 when announcing the decision. “It’s a dream I worked for and got it done.”
According to Bama247, the relationship that Booker has built right away with offensive line coach Chris Kapilovic seemed to play a big role in the early decision to play at Alabama.
