Alabama landed another big-time prospect on Friday night.

Bobby Brown, a 4-star defensive tackle in the class of 2018, pledged his commitment to the Crimson Tide.

The Arlington, Texas native is rated asย the nationโ€™s No. 16 defensive tackleย and is the No. 17 prospect in the state of Texas, according to the 247Sports Composite.

Brown is a 6-foot-4, 282-pound prospect who decommitted from Texas A&M on Wednesday night. He had been committed to the Aggies since Oct. 27.

At the time, he posted on Twitter that he needed to “look into whatโ€™s better for me.”

He’s had an offer on the table from Alabama since March.

โ€œBrown possesses good height and excellent frame length. Position- and scheme-versatility are two of his best traits as well. Heโ€™s raw, but his physical tools are hard to find,โ€ his 247Sports profile evaluation said.

Here’s what he posted about his decision to join the Tide on Friday:
