Alabama launches intense hype video ahead of matchup at South Carolina
Alabama has just driven through a ridiculously rough stretch and lived to tell about it.
The Crimson Tide ripped off 4 SEC ranked wins in their past 4 games, and that run of success has helped Alabama rocket up the rankings to No. 4. That’s where Kalen DeBoer‘s team stands going into a different kind of challenge in Week 9, when the Tide will head to Columbia to face a South Carolina team that once was ranked this year but isn’t now.
The Gamecocks were ranked as high as 10th in Week 2, but all that changed the following week when South Carolina was steamrolled at home by Vanderbilt. The Gamecocks were beaten badly at Williams-Brice Stadium, and that’s exactly where Alabama will be on Saturday afternoon to try to make sure that South Carolina doesn’t rise up and pull the upset. The teams will kick things off at 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC, with the Tide trying to win their 7th in a row and the Gamecocks trying to make their season after getting off to a 1-4 start in the SEC.
Alabama knows it might take 4 quarters of solid football to prevent the latter from happening, and that 4-quarter mentality that the Tide will need was captured in an intense hype video that the Alabama football social media account released on Friday night. The 1-minute, 28-second video isn’t narrated by anybody in particular this time, but it speaks to the intensity that Alabama will need on the road if it wants to keep rolling in 2025.
Here is the video with that 4-quarter theme:
