With the return of college football season comes the weekly SEC injury reports, and as conference play starts up this week for some teams, availability is needed.

In Lexington, Kentucky will welcome No. 12 Alabama for both sides’ league opener, and the initial injury report for the game was revealed Wednesday evening.

The Crimson Tide appear to be worse for wear early on, as they feature 5 players under the ‘Out’ category, 1 under ‘Doubtful’ and two more under ‘Questionable.’ In comparison, Kentucky has four total players listed on the report, with only one of them being doubtful or out.

And perhaps most notable is the fact that starting offensive lineman Michael Carroll has been tabbed as doubtful for Saturday’s contest, shaking up the protection for Keelon Russell in his first road start.

On top of that, Alabama’s front five appeared to have a rhythm developed already in its first action of the season. After struggling on the ground last season, the rushing attack generated 227 yards and 5 touchdowns on 4.6 yards per carry, all while the unit only gave up 1 sack.

The Crimson Tide and Wildcats will kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET, with the game being broadcast by ABC.
