According to ESPN, Alabama is not the No. 1 team in the country.

The defending national champs are. Georgia jumped to No. 1 in the latest ESPN Power Rankings following their 49-3 clobbering of No. 11 Oregon.

Georgia looked good, but it’s hard not to give the nod to a team as powerful as Alabama. What is clear is that the 2 SEC powerhouses are head and shoulders above the rest of the country. The Tide ranked No. 1 in the recent AP Poll, which came out Tuesday afternoon.

Here’s how the rest of the SEC shook out:

  • No. 1: Georgia
  • No. 2: Alabama
  • No. 7: Texas A&M
  • No. 10: Arkansas
  • No. 11: Florida
  • No. 19: Kentucky
  • No. 21: Ole Miss
  • No. 25: Tennessee

Florida jumped really high for its 29-26 win over Utah, as did Arkansas slightly for beating Cincinnati.
