Ahead of their matchup this weekend, Alabama offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb called Missouri OC Kirby Moore “one of the best coordinators in the country,” according to 247Sports.
The Crimson Tide will travel to Missouri this weekend to face the Tigers in a top-15-ranked matchup. Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson squares off with Mizzou QB Beau Pribula in what should be a heavyweight clash between two of the better college football teams.
While the matchup this weekend will be intense, Alabama OC Ryan Grubb shared some praise toward Missouri OC Kirby Moore.
I think Kirby’s one of the best coordinators in the country,” Grubb said. “I think he does a great job.
Grubb and Moore are very familiar with each other. They both coached at Fresno State together from 2017 to 2021. Grubb was the offensive line coach and run-game coordinator and eventual offensive coordinator, and Moore was the receivers coach. Both coaches worked under Jeff Tedford from 2017 to 2019 and stayed on the staff when Kalen DeBoer took over in 2020.
He coached an elite group of receivers out there,” Grubb said. “Really prided himself on detailed execution of his guys.
Grubb added that he wasn’t surprised to see Moore having a lot of success.
