Alabama offensive lineman Elijah Pritchett was arrested in Tuscaloosa Wednesday night and charged with knowingly transmitting a sexually transmitted disease (STD).

According to many outlets, led by the Tuscaloosa Thread, a report was filed last week and confirmed Wednesday, which led to a warrant for the 19-year old’s arrest.

The charge is a Class C misdemeanor in Alabama and Pritchett was later released from jail on $500 bond. If charged, he could face up to $500 in fines or 3 months jail time. Due to the nature of this news, more details are unlikely to be released barring a major development.

Pritchett entered the transfer portal on December 15 and exited just one day later, announcing that he intends to return to Alabama in 2024.

The former 5-star prospect appeared in all 13 games for the Crimson Tide this past season after playing sparingly his freshman season in 2022.
