Alabama and LSU both had Week 10 off. They’ll resume their respective seasons in Week 12 in a game between teams with opposite goals.

For the Crimson Tide, the goal is not only to get a step closer to a spot in the SEC Championship Game for the first time since 2023, but to continue to string together wins to remain in the hunt for at least an at-large bid to the College Football Playoff. They’re on a 7-game win streak after a season-opening loss to Florida State.

The Tigers, meanwhile, simply want to finish the season strong. They’ll play their first game after Brian Kelly‘s firing, the first in a season-ending stretch that includes Arkansas, Western Kentucky, and Oklahoma.

Not surprisingly, then, Alabama is a big favorite to beat LSU, according to Circa Sports’ opening college football odds released on Sunday. The Tide are an 11-point favorite.

Alabama has won the last 2 meetings between the programs. In 2023, the Tide came away with a 42-28 victory as Jalen Milroe totaled 155 yards and 4 touchdowns on the ground. In 2024, it was all Alabama as it breezed past LSU 42-13 behind another career rushing day from Milroe (185 yards, 4 TDs).

Kickoff from Tuscaloosa on Saturday is set for 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
