Alabama has no time to mourn a heartbreaking home loss to Georgia in Week 6.
Because the Crimson Tide have another supreme SEC challenge on their hands coming fast in Week 7. No. 6 Alabama, which fell to the now top-ranked Bulldogs, 20-17, on Saturday night, will travel to Knoxville next Saturday for the latest chapter in its long rivalry with Tennessee.
It’s called the Third Saturday in October, and the Tide and 14th-ranked Vols will be meeting once again on the third Saturday of October. The matchup at Neyland Stadium will be on national TV, as usual, in the 3:30 p.m. ET slot on ABC, and the visitors from Tuscaloosa have been given the upper hand by Circa Sports, which revealed that opening line as well as all the others in a stacked Week 7 of the 2026 season.
Alabama (5-1, 3-1 SEC) was installed as a 7-point road favorite in that opening line revealed on Sunday afternoon. The game also has an opening over-under of 55 points. Tennessee (5-1, 2-1 SEC) will be trying to keep the good vibes going after a Week 6 road win over Arkansas, but the assignment in Week 7 won’t be as easy with an angry Alabama team coming to Neyland Stadium.
Here are all the opening betting lines revealed on Sunday by Circa Sports:
A side note to this matchup in Knoxville is Alabama’s recent history at Neyland Stadium. It hasn’t been good. The Tide have dropped their past 2 matchups in Knoxville, losing a 52-49 thriller to the Vols in 2022 and also falling 24-17 at Tennessee in 2024. So, Bama will have some unfinished business to try to take care of in Week 7 as they head to their recent house of horrors.
While the opening betting line for Alabama-Tennessee is one thing, the Kalshi market has its own take on the Crimson Tide and Volunteers in the latest installment of their historical rivalry. Here is what the Kalshi market is currently saying about which team has the edge right now in the leadup to next Saturday’s matchup:
