Alabama needed a win in the worst of ways on Saturday night, and they got it in a 31-20 victory over Texas A&M. It wasn’t easy, as the Crimson Tide were trailing 20-17 entering the fourth quarter. However, the team rallied in the fourth quarter to pull away for the win.

It was an extra special win for Kalen DeBoer, as it was his birthday on Saturday. After the game, the players gave him a nice little birthday surprise with a celebratory ice-water bath. As long

“I said if you get a win, you can do whatever you want,” DeBoer said. “This is really the only birthday gift I was wanting was finding a way to get a win tonight.”

Just like the performance on the field, it was a team effort to make sure they gave DeBoer the ice bath. After the game, star safety Bray Hubbard said it was a team effort that included quarterback Keelon Russell.

For the Crimson Tide, it was a much-needed night as the team entered the game on its first two-game losing streak since 2013. DeBoer is not only able to enjoy his birthday after a win, but the Crimson Tide enter a much-needed bye week as well.

The schedule gets tougher in two weeks, as the Crimson Tide travel to Baton Rouge to take on LSU in a game that will have major implications when it comes to the College Football Playoff.
