Alabama (6-1, 4-0 SEC) doesn’t have the best record in the SEC. That belongs to Texas A&M (7-0, 4-0 SEC). However, over the past month, there is no SEC team with a better run of victories than the Crimson Tide. Kalen DeBeor‘s team has beaten 4 ranked opponents on 4 straight Saturdays, culminating in Week 8’s 37-20 triumph against the Tennessee Volunteers.

Halfway through the second quarter of the matchup versus the Volunteers, Yhonzae Pierre sacked Joey Aguilar for a safety to give the Crimson Tide a 9-7 lead. Alabama’s offense scored a touchdown to extend the advantage on the ensuing drive. Tennessee seemed primed to answer right before halftime, but Zabien Brown flipped the game on its head with a 99-yard pick-six. The Crimson Tide’s social media team all of those moments, and more, in a movie-like recap of the win.

Alabama didn’t statistically dominate Tennessee last weekend. In fact, the Vols had more yards (410) and first downs (27) than the Crimson Tide (373 and 23, respectively).

But when the rubber met the road, Alabama’s defense delivered the goods. If the Crimson Tide can continue playing complimentary football against the best of the best, they’ll remain near the top of the AP poll — and the College Football Playoff rankings — all season. Alabama plays at South Carolina on Saturday, Oct. 25 (3:30 p.m. E.T., ABC).
