Though Alabama has true freshman Jalen Hurts manning the quarterback position, the Crimson Tide will get another top recruit at the position in 2017.

Hawaiian Tua Tagovailoa, a five-star 2017 recruit, is committed to Alabama and plans to enroll early.

On Saturday, the talented dual-threat quarterback broke Timmy Chang’s state records while leading Saint Louis of Honolulu to a state championship, according to AL.com.

Tagovailoa finished his high-school career with 8,158 passing yards and 84 touchdowns. He also added 1,727 yards and 27 scores on the ground, giving him a whopping 111 total touchdowns.

According to 247Sports, Tagovailoa is the No. 1 dual-threat quarterback in the class of 2017 and the No. 1 overall recruit from the state of Hawaii.
