Alabama quarterback commit caps off brilliant high school career

Though Alabama has true freshman Jalen Hurts manning the quarterback position, the Crimson Tide will get another top recruit at the position in 2017.
Hawaiian Tua Tagovailoa, a five-star 2017 recruit, is committed to Alabama and plans to enroll early.
On Saturday, the talented dual-threat quarterback broke Timmy Chang’s state records while leading Saint Louis of Honolulu to a state championship, according to AL.com.
Tagovailoa finished his high-school career with 8,158 passing yards and 84 touchdowns. He also added 1,727 yards and 27 scores on the ground, giving him a whopping 111 total touchdowns.
According to 247Sports, Tagovailoa is the No. 1 dual-threat quarterback in the class of 2017 and the No. 1 overall recruit from the state of Hawaii.
