Alabama remains the lone Division I program to pull off impressive postseason run across all sports

A few weeks ago, The Next Round noted that only two teams across the entirety of Division I had advanced to the postseason in football, men’s basketball, women’s basketball, baseball and softball: Alabama and Georgia.
Now, the Crimson Tide have taken it one step further. Alabama is the only Division I program that can say it has reached the College Football Playoff, men’s and women’s NCAA Tournaments, Women’s College World Series and the Men’s College World Series.
Making this even more impressive for Alabama, the Crimson Tide are also (obviously) the only Division I program to advance in all 5 of the tournaments listed above. Alabama beat Oklahoma in the College Football Playoff, advanced to the Sweet 16 (Menโs) and Round of 32 (Womenโs) in basketball, advanced to the WCWS in softball and will compete in the MCWS this coming weekend after downing St. John’s in the Super Regionals.
As some in the comments of SEC Network’s post pointed out, Alabama still has not won a title this season despite advancing in all the tournaments listed above. Can the Crimson Tide change that in Omaha soon?
Alabama is set to face off against Oklahoma on Saturday at 3 p.m. ET.
