Alabama is looking like a legitimate national title contender this year, and the Crimson Tide have their toughest game of the year on the schedule in Week 6 as they get ready to host the Georgia Bulldogs.

On Monday, Alabama made an announcement when it comes to future schedule. According to FBSchedules.com, the Crimson Tide will host Mercer in 2027 followed by a matchup against Gardner-Webb in 2029.

Both teams will receive $500,000 for playing the Crimson Tide. Mercer has played Alabama five previous times, with the most recent game being in 2024. Alabama’s upcoming matchup against the Bears will take place on Sept. 11 the week before they travel to take on Ohio State.

The game against Gardner Webb will be the first time the two schools have ever played. The 2029 matchup against the Bulldogs is set for October 13.

There will come a time that Kalen DeBoer and the Crimson Tide are locked in and focused on that game. However, ask anybody in Tuscaloosa, and the only thought now is making sure the Crimson Tide are ready to go on Saturday.

Kickoff for the game against Georgia is at 7:30 p.m. ET, and the game will be on ABC. College Gameday will also be in Tuscaloosa.
