According to 247 Sports’ Composite rankings, Howard is the No. 695 player in the 2026 recruiting class. The 247 Sports’ Composite also lists Howard as the No. 84 defensive lineman and No. 77 player from Georgia.
Howard is the 23rd commit in Alabama’s 2026 recruiting class. The Crimson Tide pulled themselves closer to the Bulldogs in the 247 Sports’ Composite team rankings by flipping him. Alabama sits in 3rd place, just over 6 recruiting points behind Georgia, who’s in second. USC currently has the best class of 2026, per the 247 Sports Composite list.
The Crimson Tide have 3 edge defenders with a better prospect grade than Howard in their 2026 class. One of them, Xavier Griffin, is the No. 18 overall player in the 247 Sports Composite. In a display of competitive spirit, Howard chose to head to Tuscaloosa anyway. He’ll attempt to crack Alabama’s defensive line rotation with a strong training camp showing next offseason.
