Alabama had controlled the game on Saturday at Mizzou, but the final outcome was still very much in doubt in the final minute, and Beau Pribula had one more chance.

The 14th-ranked Tigers were positioned for either a tying field goal or a game-winning touchdown with the 8th-ranked Crimson Tide hanging onto a 27-24 lead at Faurot Field. It was either going to be Pribula’s crowning moment, or it was going to be Alabama escaping with a mammoth road win to keep its surge going.

Mizzou had the ball at its own 47-yard line on a 3rd-and-10 play, and Pribula dropped back to pass, looking to get the Tigers just a little closer. But Pribula made a crushing mistake, not only overthrowing his receiver but throwing it right into the back end of the Alabama secondary. Freshman defensive back Dijon Lee Jr. was waiting for the pass with open arms at the Crimson Tide 32-yard line, and he didn’t even bother to return it.

Because the game was over at that moment, with a huge road victory secured as the Crimson Tide (5-1) won their 5th game in a row after that Week 1 loss at Florida State.

Here is Lee’s interception that sealed the deal for the Tide and handed Mizzou (5-1) its first loss of the season:
