Alabama bounced back from its loss to Florida State in emphatic fashion in Week 2.

After a season-opening hiccup, the Crimson Tide steamrolled Louisiana-Monroe 73-0. Head coach Kalen DeBoer provided a chilling pregame speech in a Tuesday video release on X, formerly Twitter, prior to the big victory last week.

“Everything you do is with bad intentions,” DeBoer said in the video. “You take the field with bad intentions. You come off of that sidelines, it’s with bad intentions, it’s with purpose. You communicate with purpose.”

The video clip had a certain type of energy that perfectly captured the mentality DeBoer has been trying to instill in Alabama‘s team after an opening-week stumble against Florida State.

Quarterback Ty Simpson was impressive, completing 17 straight passes, three for touchdowns, and throwing for 226 yards.

With the FSU now in the rearview, the Crimson Tide’s focus shifts to Wisconsin in Week 3. If the hype video is any indication, DeBoer’s squad is trying to prove they can stay dominant on both sides of the football.

Kickoff against Wisconsin is set for 12 p.m. ET on Saturday.
