Alabama suffered its second loss of the year, as the Crimson Tide lost 23-21 to the Oklahoma Sooners. The loss was the first for Alabama at home since Kalen DeBoer took over as the coach.

As big of loss as it was for the Alabama Crimson Tide, it was an even bigger win for the Sooners as they remained in the race for a spot in the College Football Playoff. After the game, a few Sooners players wanted to celebrate at the 50-yard line, but they were unable to after being stopped by a Crimson Tide staffer.

College football has seen some end of game scuffles over the last few seasons, with many of those instances happening at midfield. Just last season, Michigan planted a flag at Ohio State after last season’s game that caused a scuffle between the 2 teams.

Despite the loss, the Crimson Tide are still in.a solid spot to make it to the College Football Playoff as well as the SEC Championship Game. For the Sooners, just 2 weeks ago they looked like they would not be making it to the CFP, but have won back-to-back road SEC games against ranked teams after they beat Tennessee last week.

Alabama will take on Eastern Illinois next Saturday, while the Sooners will host Mizzou.
