Alabama’s Ryan Williams will be known by a new name moving forward.
According to a social media post by NIL collective Yea Alabama on Friday morning, the the star receiver will now be known as Ryan Coleman-Williams.
The change incorporates the last name of his mother, Tiffany Coleman. Williams is also changing his number from No. 2 to No. 1, per Yea Alabama. Here’s the list of number changes for Alabama football in 2026:
Isaiah Horton wore No. 1 for the Crimson Tide last season, but he’s left the program via the transfer portal this offseason and is now at Texas A&M.
Coleman-Williams is entering his junior season at Alabama. He had a somewhat-disappointing 2025 campaign that was marred by drops, particularly early in the season. He finished second on the team in receptions (49) and receiving yards (689) while finding the end zone just four times.
However, Coleman-Williams is expected to be the leader of Alabama’s wide receiver room in 2026 with Horton and Germie Bernard no longer in the program.
