Alabama is gearing up for the biggest game in the first two seasons of the Kalen DeBoer era this weekend as the Crimson Tide are set to take on Auburn in the Iron Bowl on Saturday.

With a win, the Crimson Tide will clinch a spot in the SEC Championship game and more than likely clinch a spot in the College Football Playoff.

While the team is having a ton of success this year, the Crimson Tide did get some bad news on Monday as 4-star prospect Samuelu Utu announced that he was no longer committed to Alabama.

Curious about Daily Fantasy Sports? Here’s a complete breakdown of all the daily fantasy sports legal states as of 2025!

Utu has been committed to Alabama since June, choosing the Crimson Tide over other schools such as SMU, USC, Nebraska and many others. According to 247Sports Composite rankings, he is a 4-star recruit and the No. 255 player in the 2026 class. He is ranked as the No. 18 interior offensive lineman in the class and the No. 24 prospect in California.

Alabama is still set up to have a great 2026 class. The Crimson Tide currently have the No. 3 ranked class, trailing only USC and Georgia. With four 5-star prospects, they are currently tied with Oregon and Notre Dame for the most in the class.
