An Alabama offensive lineman who was part of Kalen DeBoer’s 2025 recruiting class is reportedly entering the transfer portal.

Micah DeBose, a true freshman, will enter the portal, according to On3’s Hayes Fawcett. He will have four years of eligibility remaining.

DeBose, from Mobile, Ala., was considered a four-star recruit by 247Sports’ Composite Ranking. Among interior offensive linemen, he was rated No. 11 in the country and No. 13 in the state of Alabama regardless of position. The 6-foot-5, 319-pounder saw limited time on the field with the Crimson Tide in his true freshman season as he played in just one game against Eastern Illinois.

He now enters the portal, making him one of several Alabama offensive linemen who have done so. Olaus Alinen, a four-star recruit in 2023, entered the portal on Friday, along with fellow 2023 signee Roq Montgomery. Joseph Ionata, a member of the program since 2024, is also in the portal.

A few Alabama OLs are considering whether to return to Tuscaloosa in 2026 or declare for the NFL Draft, too. Kadyn Proctor, a projected first-round pick, is widely expected to declare, while Parker Brailsford is projected to go in the fourth round but could opt to give it a go for one last year.
