There’s fast, and then there’s Ryan Williams fast. The Alabama wide receiver was recognized as one of the top 6 fastest players in Week 3 of college football, according to Reel Analytics.

In the first play from scrimmage in the 3rd quarter, Williams caught a screen pass from Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson and took it 75 yards to the end zone. The play gave Alabama a 28-0 lead over Wisconsin, and on the play, Williams hit a top speed of 21.2 mph.

Alabama would go on to win the game 38-14 over Wisconsin, and Williams’ 165 yards and 2 touchdowns receiving were a huge reason why.

This game was William’s first game back. Williams left Alabama’s Week 1 game against Florida State with a concussion and missed the Week 2 game against Louisiana-Monroe. Safe to say he made his return well-known, notching his first 100+ yard receiving game since Week 4 of last season against the Georgia Bulldogs.

Alabama is on a bye this week, but will need Williams to be at his best as it travels to Athens in its next game to face the No. 5 Georgia Bulldogs. Last year, Alabama’s game against Georgia was Williams’ breakout game, catching 6 passes for 177 yards and a touchdown.

Kickoff for Alabama versus Georgia is set for 7:30 p.m. ET on Sept. 27.
