On Sunday, the AP Preseason Top 25 Poll is released to the public, and we’ll have a general perception of where teams are entering 2014.

While we don’t know the top four projected teams, we can assume Florida State, Oklahoma, Alabama and Oregon should sit atop the poll and be favored for the College Football Playoff, but FSU will open up the season at No. 1.

I do think eight total SEC teams will be ranked: Alabama, Auburn, South Carolina, Georgia, LSU, Texas A&M, Ole Miss and Missouri. The one team that could be left out is the Missouri Tigers, who most are discounting prior to the 2014 season.
