AP Top 25: Kentucky drops out after beating South Carolina, 9 SEC teams crack latest poll.

Week 5 is in the books, and we have a new top 25 entering Week 6 of the college football season. As it was last week, the Texas Longhorns and Georgia Bulldogs lead the way in this week’s latest AP Top 25 Poll. In total, 9 SEC teams cracked this week’s top 25.
Texas observed a bye this past week as the Longhorns prepare for next week’s rivalry matchup against Oklahoma. Georgia, on the other hand, dispatched Vanderbilt after a slow start turned into a blowout 38-14 win. Alabama jumped slightly in the rankings, now sitting at No. 6 heading into Week 6’s monster clash against the Bulldogs in Tuscaloosa.
Other ranked SEC teams include the following: Ole Miss (No. 9), LSU (No. 10), Mizzou (No. 14) Tennessee (No. 15), Florida (No. 16) and Mississippi State (No. 17). Kentucky dropped from the rankings after beating South Carolina and leads the receiving votes section with 160 total votes. Pitt, which comes in at No. 25, had 162 votes.
