Arkansas basketball is already starting to put some games together for next season. According to Razorbacks head coach John Calipari, the Hogs will face off against Michigan State in a neutral site (more like a semi-away) contest in Detroit on Thanksgiving Day.
The matchup will be aired on CBS and held at Little Caesars Arena. Because the game will take place on Thanksgiving, it’s worth noting that there will be major NIL opportunities for both teams in this matchup.
Although the exact date has not quite been revealed, Calipari also mentioned that Michigan State will come to Bud Walton Arena in the near future. Keep in mind that Arkansas played in East Lansing this past season, a game that resulted in a narrow Spartans win, 69-66.
This is the 7th time Calipari will face off against Tom Izzo across their respective careers. The coaching series is currently tied at 3-3.
Arkansas and Michigan State are always bound to put on a great game with Calipari and Izzo on the sidelines. The 2 coaches are top 15 in all-time wins and have some great programs lined up for 2026-27.
Though a few Razorbacks from this year’s squad will be on the way out, keep an eye on incoming freshmen JJ Andrews, Abdou Toure and Jordan Smith Jr — all ranked inside the top 30 prospects for the 2026 according to 247Sports.
