Arkansas draws disappointing crowd for Week 3 game against Georgia

Arkansas fans know it could take some time for the Razorbacks to get back to competitiveness in the SEC.
The Hogs opened the season, and the Ryan Silverfield era, with a 31-14 blowout of FCS North Alabama at Razorback Stadium. A week later, though, they went on the road and suffered a 43-10 rout at Utah. That’s not a good result for a team that entered Saturday’s SEC opener against No. 2 Georgia on a 11-game conference losing streak.
While Silverfield has worked to inject some energy into the Arkansas program, fans haven’t quite received the memo just yet. Take a look at the thin crowd at Razorback Stadium before the game:
To its credit, Arkansas has tried to hang with Georgia in the early stages of the game. The Bulldogs only had a 14-0 lead with 8:45 remaining in the second quarter. But they had a 136-62 edge in total offense at that point, including a 79-24 advantage in rushing yards. The Razorbacks were also 1-of-4 on third down.
Arkansas gets a reprieve from conference action in Week 4 against Tulsa. Then, it’s to College Station to face No. 9 Texas A&M before returning home to take on No. 15 Tennessee.
