The Arkansas Razorbacks already had the SEC’s worst 2026 recruiting class when they woke up on Tuesday. After this morning’s news, it’s now held in even lower regard.
On Tuesday, 3-star wide receiver Robert Haynes IV decommitted from the Razorbacks, according to 247 Sports’ Mike Roach. Haynes, out of Missouri City, TX, is the No. 166 wide receiver in the 2026 recruiting class, according to 247 Sports’ composite rankings. The 247 Sports Composite also lists him as the No. 155 player in Texas.
According to Roach, Haynes’ communication with the Arkansas staff started “falling off” around the time Sam Pittman was fired. The Ridge Point High School product told 247 Sports he began “considering a decommitment at that time.”

Haynes was Arkansas’ top receiver in the 2026 class. That mantle now belongs to in-state wideout Blair Irvin III (Bentonville), who is the No. 255 receiver in the country, per 247 Sports’ composite rankings.
Arkansas was the only university Haynes visited before committing. Louisville and Pittsburgh are the only other Power 4 programs who have offered him, according to 247 Sports. UNLV, Louisiana, Louisiana-Monroe, Arkansas State and UTEP all extended him an offer prior to his decision to go to Arkansas. Each of those schools could reach out and gauge his interest again in the weeks ahead.
