Arkansas signee Jace Brown has been released from his scholarship agreement with the Razorbacks, according to a report.

Christina Long of Whole Hog Sports was first to share that news on Tuesday, citing a team spokesman.

Brown was a 3-star wide receiver prospect in the class of 2025 who signed with the Razorbacks back in December. He was teammates with former Arkansas quarterback Madden Iamaleava in high school back in California.

With Iamaleava moving on after spring ball, Brown is set to do the same. Brown never enrolled at Arkansas, but was set to do so this summer prior to his release. It’s possible he will follow Iamaleava back to UCLA — he was committed to the Bruins before flipping to Arkansas back in December.

Brown was the No. 648 overall player and the No. 101 wide receiver in the country for the class of 2025, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

The departures of Iamaleava and Brown leave Arkansas with just 22 high school prospects in the class of 2025. A total of 17 recruits — including Iamaleava — were early enrollees and went through spring practice with the Razorbacks. Arkansas’s remaining signees are expected to arrive in Fayetteville later this summer.
