Army is breaking out something special for this yearโs Army-Navy Game โ a uniform that celebrates the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army.
The Black Knightsโ look, revealed Wednesday, features a marble-gray base with streaks of purple throughout โ a nod to the Badge of Military Merit, the forerunner to the Purple Heart, and a tribute to Gold Star families. Subtle details honor the Armyโs long history, including โ1775โ markings and typography inspired by the U.S. Constitution.
Instead of focusing on a single division like in past years, this yearโs theme highlights the Armyโs full 250-year legacy. The helmet carries references to the Warrior Ethos and classic insignia โ tying the modern design back to its roots.
Army has made the uniform reveal a tradition heading into the rivalry game, and this one might be its most symbolic yet. The Black Knights have gone 6-3 in the series since launching these special-edition looks. The numbers and lettering are styled after the U.S. Constitution, while streaks of purple run throughout.
Navy hasnโt dropped its 2025 design yet โ but with this reveal from West Point, the barโs been set high for the December showdown.
Army is 5-4 this season. Navy is 7-2. This year’s Army-Navy Game will take place Dec. 13 in Baltimore.
