About this time last year, the Big Ten was in the headlines for all the wrong reasons as it was the first conference to cancel the 2020 season, and make plans to play in the spring.
Now an attorney has produced a documentary to discuss those decisions and information the B1G shared at the time. The web site for “Fight For Football: Saving The 2020 Season” explains how the documentary will unfold.
The film includes interviews with players and their families, as well as journalists from around the Big Ten and the rest of the nation who covered every minute of the most historic year in the sport’s history.
When everyone had access to the same medical information, why did some conferences decide to play with only minor tweaks to their schedules, while others felt it was simply impossible to do so safely?
Dan Lust, who is also a professor at New York Law School and host of the Conduct Detrimental podcast, released a trailer to the documentary. The conference was the first to call of the season and was looking to play in the spring because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
One year ago today, the Big Ten canceled the fall 2020 football season.
Now, the inside story of that decision, and the fight to save the season will finally be told.
