Auburn mascot hilariously annoys ESPN anchor with flying candy

Auburn’s mascot, Aubie, is in the Halloween spirit.
He may have pushed a few too many buttons, though.
During halftime of the Auburn–LSU game at Jordan-Hare Stadium, poor Aubie was just trying to pass out Halloween candy to ESPN’s crew of Matt Barrie, Roman Harper, Jordan Rodgers, and Tim Tebow. One of those pieces of candy happened to hit Barrie in the back, though.
“I’m going to punch the tiger if he doesn’t stop throwing candy at me,” Barrie said to the laughter of his colleagues.
We don’t actually think Barrie would have followed through on the threat. But, come on, Aubie! Time and place!
It was a rough first half for Auburn, probably something that no amount of candy could cure. It trailed LSU 31-10 at the break.
The halftime stats tell the story of what a struggle it was for Auburn during the first two quarters. It totaled just 167 yards of total offense. It ran the ball 21 times for just 51 yards. Byrum brown was 12-of-17 for just 116 yards, in comparison to Sam Leavitt’s 261-yard, four-touchdown day.
Auburn has lost the last two meetings between the two programs. It’s well on its way to its third straight. After an upset of No. 1 Georgia in Week 7, the Tigers have looked out of their depth in Week 8.
