Auburn got a big boost on the first day of the new year with the announcement by offensive lineman Jeremiah Wright that he’s coming back to the Plains to play another season in 2025.
The mammoth 6-foot-5, 333-pounder, an in-state product from Selma, has been a starter at offensive guard for the past 2 seasons. On Wednesday, Wright took to social media to announce that he’s coming back with a 2-word message on his Instagram proclaiming: “I’m Back.”
Wright signed with Auburn as a 3-star recruit in the class of 2020, so he’s been around for a long time and he’ll be around for 1 more season to finish out his collegiate career.
It’s been a roller-coaster of a career so far for Wright at Auburn. He has dealt with an ACL tear, and he’s even dabbled in playing on the defensive line at times for the Tigers through the years before solidifying his prime role on Auburn’s offensive line.
Wright was a rock at offensive guard for Hugh Freeze’s team during the 2024 season, taking over at right guard during the 2023 season.
Wright started all 12 games for Auburn at right guard this season and was one of the most consistent players on the Tigers’ offensive line. He was Auburn’s second-highest graded starting offensive lineman in 2024, according to Pro Football Focus.
