Auburn punter Hudson Kaak reacts to depth chart pronunciation guide

Sometimes, fans may have trouble remembering the name of their team’s punter. That’s unlikely to be the case for Auburn fans in 2025.
Hudson Kaak transferred to Auburn from Oklahoma State ahead of the 2025 season. The Week 1 depth chart for Auburn’s game at Baylor is out, and it includes a pronunciation guide.
Kaak’s name is pronounced how one might expect. Based on a social media post reacting to seeing that pronunciation guide in all caps, Kaak embraces the giggles that might come with using his name.

On the field, Kaak averaged 43.13 yards on 30 punts in 2024, with a long kick of 51 yards. He landed 11 punts inside the 20-yard line. In 2023, he split time, punting 38 times for an average of 39.7 yards.
A native of Seymour, Australia, Kaak was an Australian rules football player for the Murray Bushrangers of the NAB League. He trained at ProKick Australia and prepped at Seymour College in Seymour, Victoria.
Kaak and the Tigers open the 2025 season on the road at Baylor. The Friday night game is set for an 8 p.m. ET kickoff, airing on FOX.
