Auburn reveals hype video filled with desperation on eve of Arkansas showdown
Auburn was once 3-0 this season, but that was a long time ago, before the SEC gauntlet began and before the angst started to build again from a frustrated fan base.
Since those 3 nonconference wins to start 2025, it’s been 1 frustration after another within the SEC, starting with road losses against Oklahoma and Texas A&M. Things didn’t get any better back on the Plains either, as the Tigers dropped home games against Georgia and Mizzou. The Mizzou loss was particularly agonizing, as Auburn fought hard but fell to the Tigers in double overtime.
All that losing has left embattled head coach Hugh Freeze and his team with a 3-4 record and an 0-4 mark in the SEC. Right now, Auburn is starving for any kind of victory, especially in the SEC, and that “eat or starve” theme was captured on Friday night in a chilling hype video that the Auburn football social media account released.
The 54-second clip is filled with intensity and, yes, plenty of desperation, as Auburn prepares to face an Arkansas team that is also winless in the SEC at 0-3. The Razorbacks fired their head coach earlier this season and sit at just 2-5 overall, so they’ll have some desperation, too, as the teams collide in Fayetteville for a 12:45 p.m. ET kickoff on SEC Network.
Will Auburn finally eat or continue to starve? We’ll find out late Saturday afternoon.
Meanwhile, here is the hype video to get Tigers fans fired up for Week 9:
