Auburn reveals schedule for spring practice, first A-Day under Alex Golesh
Auburn director of football and alumni relations Jeris McIntyre once played on the Plains, as a wide receiver from 2000 to 2003, so he knows exactly how to get the attention of the Tigers’ passionate fan base.
And the way to do that? How about going to your own social media and, as part of your wonderful job with the program you love, posting the Auburn spring football practice dates and schedule, along with the first A-Day Game under new head coach Alex Golesh. That’s exactly what the 44-year-old McIntyre did on a Saturday afternoon in late January, with the 2025 season in the books and spring football still pretty far off.
But McIntyre knew exactly how to plug in to the Auburn football fan who can’t wait that long and needed to know which dates to circle on the calendar in March and April as Golesh takes over following a disappointing 2025 season under Hugh Freeze. For Tigers football fanatics, St. Patrick’s Day will be a magical one, with the first Auburn football spring practice taking place on March 17.
Six more practice dates will follow for Auburn in the month of March, before the calendar flips to April. Another 7 practices will be held in April, beginning on April 2, and then all of it will culminate on Saturday, April 18 with the A-Day extravaganza as Year 1 of the Golesh era really starts to take shape.
Here is the post sent out by McIntyre, who led Auburn in receptions and receiving yards in 2003 and all these years later knows exactly how to get Auburn fans excited once more:
