Auburn sets record for fastest scoring play in program history

Auburn had to wait a little longer to kick off against Southern Miss on Saturday night, as there was a weather delay.
However, the Tigers made sure not to wait too long to score, as they set a school record by scoring their first touchdown only 10 seconds into the game, when Andre Jordan Jr. intercepted the first pass of the game and returned it for a touchdown.

The Tigers got things started in Week 1 with an exciting 17-16 victory over Baylor. The offense was up-and-down in that game, but the defense delivered a big-time performance. That has once again been the case for Auburn, as the defense is dominating the game on Saturday night. Jordan added another interception later in the first quarter.
Auburn fans have been looking for a team that contends for quite some time, and it is a big reason why Alex Golesh was brought in to be the coach. He showed at USF that he is able to build a contender, and there is a lot of optimism that he can do the same thing at Auburn.
The schedule gets much tougher in Week 3, as the Tigers take on Florida in a game of first-year coaches.
