Auburn has picked up a big dose of experience for its offensive line room for 2026.

Jack Leyrer, originally a member of Stanford‘s 2021 recruiting class, has signed with the Tigers, according to AL.com. This will be Leyrer’s final year of eligibility.

After Leyrer’s initial season in 2021, which saw him redshirted due to not making an appearance, he started in three of the four games he played in 2022. In 2023, he saw time in 10 games while starting three of them.

The 2024 campaign saw Leyrer take a much larger role in the Cardinal’s front five. He started ten games that year, most of them coming at left guard. He planned to return for what would have been his final season of eligibility, but suffered an injury that kept him out for all of 2025.

Leyrer then requested, and received, a medical waiver that cleared the way for him to come back in 2026. After entering the transfer portal, he took an official visit to Auburn on Saturday and ultimately decided to sign with Alex Golesh and the Tigers.

Leyrer’s signing fills a major need for the Tigers. Both of Auburn’s Week 1 starters on the left side of the line, LT Xavier Chaplin (transfer to Florida State) and LG Dillon Wade (exhausted eligibility) are no longer with the program.
