Auburn’s defensive line is expected to be a major key in the game at Florida, and Marlon Davidson is part of that group that will dictate how the game unfolds.
Davidson was a recent guest on “Marty and McGee” on the SEC Network and explained how the defensive line has started the season.
“Whenever you start the game off, you have the center that has the ball and everybody says it starts up front with the O-line and D-line,” Davidson said. “So we just took it very prideful, we’re a very prideful group. We come out there and try to give our best effort in everything that we do. We come out here, we make plays, we hustle around to the ball. We get sacks with Derrick Brown and Nick Coe. Those type of guys, just have fun, make it a statement before the game that people are going to see us all game. We just take it that it’s our job to set the tone of the game no matter what.”
Davidson has 21 tackles this season, with 4.5 tackles for a loss and 2.5 sacks. He also has a quarterback hurry.
The Tigers and Gators will kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday on CBS from Gainesville.
