College football is a contact sport. And naturally, things can get bloody at times.

We saw an example of that on Friday in Baylor’s season opener against Auburn at McLane Stadium in Waco. Baylor offensive lineman Coleton Price had a pretty significant cut open up in the early going.

FOX posted a video of it to its X account (warning: graphic content), but here is a photo:

Price, a 6-foot-5, 318-pound redshirt junior from Bowie, Texas, is entering his fourth season with the Bears. In 2024, he started all 13 of Baylor’s games at center. In 2023, he played eight times, eventually emerging as the starter in the middle of the offensive line. As you can see, though, it will take more than a cut to the head to keep the big man out of the game as he barely appeared phased when heading to the sideline.

Baylor has opened up a 3-0 lead on Auburn in the first quarter on Connor Hawkins’ 36-yard field goal. The Bears and Tigers are meeting for the first time since 1976 and for the fifth time overall. Baylor is coming off an 8-5 season in 2024 while Auburn was 5-7.

Baylor-Auburn can be seen on FOX.
