After being courted by some of the best programs in the Southeastern Conference for years, Marietta defender BJ Ojulari has finally made his college decision.

During a ceremony at his Marietta High School, the four-star Georgia native announced his commitment to Tennessee.

The 6-foot-3, 224-pound Ojulari is rated as the No. 10 weakside defensive end in the nation and the No. 157 overall prospect in America, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings. Ojulari is the younger brother of Georgia linebacker Azeez Ojulari and the current teammate of Tennessee quarterback commit Harrison Bailey. Ojulari and Bailey are also high school teammates with five-star receiver/tight end prospect, Arik Gilbert.

Ojulari’s decision comes after being recruited by Jeremy Pruitt’s Tennessee staff for two years. The rising high school senior saw his stock soar after participating at The Opening Finals. Following the event, 247Sports Director of Scouting Barton Simmons even named Ojulari to The Opening Finals Dream Team roster.

After missing out on some key pass-rushing targets in the 2019 recruiting class, Tennessee desperately needed to add some premier defensive prospect capable of reaching the quarterback and they appear to be getting just that in the Marietta High School product.

Following this news, Tennessee’s 2020 recruiting class is up to 14 total commitments. Ojulari’s pledge gives Tennessee’s recruiting class a major boost, as the program now has the nation’s No. 22 class, up from No. 29 prior to this news.
