Brian Kelly and LSU trail Texas A&M at halftime of Saturday night’s game 17-10.

The Aggies offense has moved the ball throughout the game, and Texas A&M controlled the tempo of the game. It also controlled possession of the game, too, for nearly 17 minutes.

The Aggies offense racked up 220 yards and 17 first-half points. Running back Devon Achane has already recorded 119 yards rushing and 1 touchdown.

At halftime, Kelly was critical of LSU’s defensive effort when asked what the Tigers must do better in the second half.

โ€œPlay better defense. We didnโ€™t have the ball enough. Iโ€™m OK with what weโ€™re doing on offense. We canโ€™t give them the ball for 17 minutes. That was our worst defensive performance of the year,โ€ Kelly said, via Scott Rabalais.

No doubt Kelly will give his defense an ear full at halftime.
