Cam Coleman sends message to Ohio State: ‘We’re coming’

Perhaps the biggest game of the 2026 college football regular season is slated for 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday night. The matchup? No. 1 Ohio State at No. 5 Texas.
The Longhorns and Buckeyes met last season in Columbus, with Ohio State coming out on top in a low-scoring affair, 14-7. This year, Texas is looking for some revenge and a massive resume-boost for the College Football Playoff.
Texas has more talent than it did last season around this time, too. One of those new talented players in Cam Coleman, one of the most capable receivers in the country, who transferred in from Auburn after 2 seasons on The Plains.
On Monday, Coleman was asked what Ohio State can expect from the Longhorns this weekend. His message was short: ‘We’re coming.”
Ohio State is one of the most consistent programs in the country. The Buckeyes are mainstays in the college football playoff and leapt to a 1-0 start to the season behind a 56-3 walloping of Ball State on Saturday.
Texas is consistent in a different way. The Longhorns are excellent at underperforming expectations, and now the question is this: Can the Longhorns walk the walk?
