Life in the SEC means that teams always have to stay on their toes because the potential for a season-derailing upset is always right around the next corner.

For college football analysts, predicting when the next big upset may occur is also a major talking point from week to week as they try to get out in front of the story.

CBS Sports’ Aaron Taylor just made a pretty bold prediction in this regard on Wednesday morning, predicting that the Arkansas Razorbacks will beat the No. 17-ranked Ole Miss Rebels this Saturday.

“I like Arkansas over Ole Miss,” Taylor said. “Ole Miss has been struggling with turnovers, and Arkansas does a great job at causing those turnovers, and they can also rush the passer. Both of the quarterback at Ole Miss’challenges last week involved botches from the offensive line.”

It’s undoubtedly a bold take on Taylor’s part, but it’s also one that has some precedent behind it. The two teams have long been thorns in one another’s sides over the years, and the Rebs have shown a tendency to let lesser teams hang around with them.

Should the Razorbacks actually manage to knock off Ole Miss, it would certainly throw a massive wrench into the Rebels’ plans for 2025.
