The Georgia Bulldogs are gearing up for another run at College Football Playoff glory after plowing through the regular season and SEC Championship game with a 12-1 record, and tenth-year head coach Kirby Smart has been the driving force behind his team’s success.
There have been lots of growing pains for Georgia over the course of its 2025 campaign, but everything looks to be coming together at the right time as the Dawgs are playing some of their best football heading into the CFP.
CBS Sports analyst Aaron Taylor recently touched on the Dawgs’ progression this season, saying that this may be Smart’s best coaching job yet.
“This may be his best coaching job yet,” Taylor said. “You take a team that’s not nearly as talented as we’ve seen in the past, and to have the front 7 be riddled with injuries and players that aren’t of the caliber it used to be… Kirby Smart created a team, in his own words, that is hard to kill. They were thrust into the SEC Championship game, where maybe it was better for them not to play in, and they continued to find a way to win.”
Hard to kill has been the mantra for the Dawgs all year long, and they’ll be looking to maintain that reputation as they chart their course towards another National Championship in January.
